Photo Assignment:
1. Choose 20 photos - ensure that they reflect a wide range of camera shots - Long, medium, close - high, low
2. Organize a PowerPoint (or Wix site) to present the photos - based on the shot type
3. For each shot in point form - tell why the shot meets the definition for this type of camera shot - please remember:
(A close-up shows only one part of the subject, usually in great detail. Close-ups would include shots of a person's face, or the paws of a dog walking down a path, of a hand on a doorbell, or of a tree branch. A picture showing half of the subject, such as a character from the waist up or the back end of a car, is a medium shot, while a long shot shows the whole subject: a person from head to foot or the entire car. Any of these shots can show one subject or more at the same time.)
4. In two or three sentences - tell how this shot could be used effectively in a video production.
5. In two or three sentences - what is the subject? How can you tell? (rules of 3's, focus, other..)
5. In two or three sentences - is this a good photo? Why or why not?
6. On the final slide - why type of shot do you think would be most common in television shows? In movies? Why
might these be different?
